Delivery commission
The percentage an aggregator takes per order, typically 15–30% in the GCC. It rewrites the economics of every dish.
Delivery commission is the platform's cut of each order, taken before your food cost, packaging or labour see a dirham. In the GCC, commissions typically run 15–30% depending on platform, plan and whether the platform's riders deliver. A menu priced for the dining room usually cannot survive the delivery channel unchanged, which is why the channels are costed separately.
Platform take = order value × commission rate
Net payout = order value - platform take; packaging, channel discounts and platform ads still come out of your side.
Illustrative: an AED 100 order at 25% commission sends AED 25 to the platform, leaving AED 75. Food cost of AED 30 and packaging of AED 5 leave AED 40 to carry labour, rent and overhead on that order, against AED 70 for the same order eaten at a table.
