Development service · the launch workstream

Opening night is a checklist wearing a party.

A launch is the audit of every earlier workstream: premises, people, product, compliance, procurement and systems arriving READY on the same date. GGB runs pre-opening as a control system — so the first week is service, not firefighting.

The risk of the improvised opening

Openings fail in the last hundred metres: stock ordered late, training unfinished, inspections unbooked, systems untested under load. The first month then burns goodwill and cash correcting what a readiness system would have caught on paper.

  • Opening stock mobilised without comparison discipline
  • Teams trained on equipment that arrives after they do
  • Soft-launch feedback with no mechanism to absorb it
  • A marketing date the building cannot keep

Readiness architecture

The full pre-opening map across premises, people, product, compliance, technology and launch — owned line by line.

02

Procurement mobilisation

Opening stock across every category bought through comparison discipline, not single-vendor default.

03

Countdown control

The workstream skeleton run as a living instrument — slippage visible the day it happens.

04

Soft-launch design

Load rehearsals engineered to surface faults while they are cheap.

05

Launch execution

The public opening run as operations first, event second.

  1. 01

    Backwards from ready

The countdown is built from readiness criteria, not from a hoped-for date.

  2. 02

    Buy by comparison

Opening procurement runs through category comparison — the discipline that survives in the vault’s workbooks.

  3. 03

    Rehearse under load

Soft launches are engineered stress tests with feedback capture, not friends-and-family theatre.

  4. 04

    Open on evidence

The go decision reads the readiness board, not the calendar.

Pre-opening is documented practice in this vault, not a slide:

The vault publishes a re-authored 45-day pre-opening skeleton and QC architecture from a multi-outlet group’s operating library (rows 17/18 — on /work), and holds category-level opening procurement workbooks (row 11, derivative pending source export). The photographs below are project-period records of a banquet facility standing ready for service (row 19, crop-pass 2026-07-29b).

Pre-opening control closes every Genesis mandate; standalone launch engagements fit projects that built without an operating partner and need the landing controlled.

The Start a Project application qualifies the brief across capital, site, timing and scope — the same intake every Genesis mandate begins with. The paid feasibility study is the commercial entry.
