GGB BOQ (bill of quantities)
An itemised, measured list of every fit-out work and material. It is what makes contractor quotes comparable.
A BOQ breaks the fit-out into measured line items: quantities, specifications and rates for every trade. With one, three contractors price the same scope and their numbers can be compared line by line; without one, the lowest quote is usually the one that measured least. It is also the reference that keeps variations honest once work begins.
Illustrative: the flooring line reads 120 square metres at AED 180 per square metre, AED 21,600. When one quote lands AED 15,000 cheaper overall, the BOQ shows whether that is a sharper rate or 30 missing square metres, which at AED 180 would explain AED 5,400 of the gap.
