What does Circular 7/2026 actually require?

From 1 October 2026, every hotel-operated and independent food and beverage outlet holding a DCT Abu Dhabi tourism licence must offer at least one SEHHI-classified healthy option in each adult menu category — appetisers, mains, sides and desserts — and at least half of the items on a children’s menu must meet the same standard. Compliant dishes carry the SEHHI logo on the menu. A companion policy makes low-sodium salt the default table salt. The policies took effect on 1 July 2026 with a three-month implementation period.
